Kuro was a patient person... and her patience was rewarded soon by the presence of their esteemed leader. The girl's eyes widened slightly as she adjusted her glasses. "A-Ah! Y-Yes! I hope you both are well this evening." she politely greeted the pink-haired woman and Kudamon wrapped around their neck, politely bowing her head in respect. "I just wanted to speak with you about the Winged Heralds and our image. Would you both like some tea?" she spoke with a demure smile.

Tea herself seemed to rouse from her slumber, the Sleepmon dozily waving at the pair as they entered the room. "De arimasu ~ Thank you for obliging us. Its an honor to be able to meet you both. Must be really tiring to be always managing da Heralds, yah?" the Rookie pluckily spoke with a more casual tone as she smiled, briefly fluffing her pillow as she sat up. "Da tea is a family recipe of Kuro-san's family. Green leaves and a touch of cinnamon. I highly recommend... Gets an A plus from me!"

It was comforting to see Ms. Aya was still as warm and empathetic as always... It felt less like she was speaking to a superior and more like she was speaking to someone she could consider a friend. Kuro smiled as she nodded, getting up briefly to get the tea. "Thank you Ms. Aya! I can't help but admit I was a bit nervous asking... I'm only a priestess-rank wise after all." she managed to speak, taking care to pour the hot tea carefully in some ceramic cups... the steam the drinks emitted able to be felt if your face were to hover above it.

"I dunno. You act awfully human-y Noodle-kun... I like to think da humans are pretty special, if a lil' weird... but dat's why I like them!" Tea chipped in at the kuda-gitsune's own commentary, carefully blowing on her own drink as she awaited Kuro to speak.

Taking care to carry four cups on a tray back to the table, Kuro finally sat down as she laid it out for everyone... finally able to speak. "Well, sister... Relatives of mine had been rather... dismissive of the Winged Heralds' intentions. My own family have been supportive of me joining the Heralds, but I worry about what others see us as." she began to speak, her tone dropping as her eyes seemed to struggle to focus. "... They seem to believe we are a cult and angry that I even am here. Called us a bunch of mutant freaks." she spoke with a hint of concern in her voice, for a moment her expression faltering into a look conflict.

Some members of the Heralds had took a step further to safeguard the team's ideals... No barriers were too steep to overcome, not even the morality of tampering with humanity. As Kuro grew quiet, her hand flexed somewhat apprehensively... one of her fingers shifting in shape to a mangled mess that would have been more considered eldritch before shifting back.

... Was she also a freak for undertaking such a drastic procedure?

There was something soothing and hypnotic about Aya's words that resonated with Kuro... Was it any wonder why they were the face of the Heralds? It made her feel welcomed and helped to greatly calm her nerves. "You are too kind, sister... You make me feel proud to be part of this movement! It is just... I hold a lot of respect towards the higher members, and you are one of the most esteemed!" Kuro graciously spoke, briefly blowing at her tea so as cool it down before taking a sip... the heat tingled her senses as she breathed through her nostrils, her sinuses clear.

Tea herself was quiet, but she was a patient listener to both her tamer's own issues and Aya's kind words about them. She might have seemed dopey, but she absorbed the meaning of those words with great detail. "Dat's what I really respect out of you guys. Even though some think otherwise, you keep to your convictions. I think dat's something that transcends da differences between our kind." the caprine Digimon spoke as they softly sipped their drink before continuing. "Us Digimon are driven by da need to Digivolve because our world makes us. It's natural selection; da strong survive while da weak perish. We're just helping to level da playing fields for humans so dey don't lag behind."

Kuro while initially had doubts on the meaning of their mission... but she was starting to understand the true meaning. Natural selection... evolution... Was that the true meaning of their mission? Regardless, it was a noble one... and she wanted to do all in her power to help it. "Then we'll do all in our power to try and guide humanity... We'll help as many people as we can, but what do we do if they don't want our help?"

Tea frowned slightly... the first time since the conversation started. "Den we let natural selection run its course."

Kuro blushed heavily hearing words of praise from that pink-haired young lady she was talking; the girl flashed a cheerful grin hearing such. "Maybe thats why us Heralds have come together? We need to be kind when no one else is willing to!"

Tea softly shook her head in regards to Noodle's words... For someone who had such a silly nickname, he was an especially wise individual... wasn't he? All of the good seen within most holy Digimon, but without any of the prideful bigotry. "Pardon my behavior, I suppose was just feeling bitter about da past... Da Digital World is a bit of a cruel place, yah? Forgiveness for all is something I want to believe is possible, but some people are simply too vile to be given forgiveness. In da end, you have to decide what is right and what is wrong... and I hope to think dat we're doing da right thing." the Sleepmon spoke, sipping her drink more.

"Maybe our worlds can be cruel... but we can do plenty to help change that. Thats why I wanted to join to begin with." Kuro softly spoke, adjusting her glasses slightly as she finished up the rest of her tea... her convictions and belief in the organization strengthened.
