Drawing its name from the silver mint that once stood here, Ginza is a luxurious district full of elegant shopping malls, beautiful boutiques, immense department stores, and some of the world's fanciest and most expensive restaurants and coffee houses.

One of the three original remnants of Tokyo's historical downtown, and the former location of the Capital Bridge that linked this neighborhood with that of Ginza. A single stone pillar, the last surviving piece of the original bridge, exists as a monument to preserve its legacy as a culturally significant landmark.

One-third of Tokyo's original downtown core before the special wards were reconsolidated, this district takes its name from the old wooden bridge that used to exist here, which dated back to the 17th century. The current bridge, made of stone over a steel frame, still serves as an important navigational landmark.
