Ooooh, boy. The human wasn't ok. Burnt out? What the hell did that mean!? He didn't look burned, and T knew humans weren't data, so they didn't glitch. What was happening here!? Out of instinct, he stepped back, stealing a wide-eyed glance at Abel but resisting the urge to ask for specifics. He didn't think he'd be getting a better answer than this.
And then that other Digimon was talking, and he despised how polite she made herself seem. He just hated it. Ignore her. You have a job to do, then you can be alone. "I...don't know this stuff. I got no human, you know." He babbled, started to back up, "B-but I still have to talk to you...or just your Digimon really." He avoided saying specifics about the Virus, about the event that stole his solitude and forced him into the real world. If this two could give any information, not even joining Hypnos, it'd be a success. At least he knew their names and faces, finding them couldn't be too hard after thus, right? Nonetheless, he inclined his head in a sort of silent goodbye.
Abruptly, he whirled on his heels and faced the feline Digimon, grimacing at her. Then, he gave a small bow. It looked a little weird, this body was so weird, but the point of a farewell was clear. "You might know this, but I'm T. Next time you want to know something, how 'bout we actually talk?" His voice was clipped, but he wasn't entirely untruthful. She owed some information and, who knew? Maybe he'd give her some himself if she really blew his mind. That'd be peachy.
"Take your human a different way than I go. And you? I guess...just don't be seen. I gotta go and pretend to be human a little longer. Ciao." As he spoke, he started to drift away until he disappeared back into the streets, wondering how in the world he met three new acquaintances all at once. Cycles knew he would remember them, though...
(Thanks for the thread! It was nice!)

Post by Yūjin Inazuma on Dec 17, 2018 1:19:28 GMT
can't fix this, i'm hopeless. my sanity is spent, just tell me where my time went ▼ | Were it not for Yūjin's preoccupation with returning himself back into some recognizable inkling of social coherency, yeah, ice cream would have been great. Wonderful, actually.
This was his cross to bear: the lonely, bitter existence of a man that looks like everyone else, but just can't seem to really act in a way one would consider 'normal'. A more hateful individual would have said it like they saw it: Yūjin Inazuma was a waste of oxygen.
Hell, for what it was worth, T's disguise seemed pretty foolproof at the time they first met. That in itself should have been a feather in his cap. But, the supposed Digimon-in-human-clothes, too wrought with distress over Yūjin's eccentric self-stabilizing habits, did what even he would have done in this situation: cut his losses and opted to leave him and the other interloping Digimon alone to part ways, for now.
"I'm sorry..." Yūjin lets out with forced affect, the weight of his own emotional buildup acting as a valve to the pressure of his attempts at holding back the tears, stammering the same phrase again a couple more times. The intensity of all that movement, that running around, the attempted use of non-lethal force, none of this made him feel like the hero he once assumed being a DigiDestined was all about. That guilt and shame were what he got out of this whole encounter made it arguably that much worse.
Abel, on the other hand, popped up onto his hinds and gave a peppy wave to the despondent rookie agent of HYPNOS. "Bye-bye Mister T! Everything will be explained one day!" he shouts expectantly with rosy cheeks as the Tokomon assumes but one of many dynamic poses to get the point across. He then turns to the BlackSalamon and, eyeing his partner with worried countenance, goes on with a nod, "If you want, I can meet up with you one of these days! He was actually supposed to do chores today and I, um..." Abel pauses, allowing himself to feel the consequences of his decisions affect what he wanted to say next, "I basically caused all of this. I wanted to see all the fun stuff here and made him come with, and, well..."
The little In-Training's sunny attitude seemed to fade for a moment, if briefly. Taking accountability for his own mistakes was never fun, and, admittedly, it made him want to shed a couple of tears himself, but he had to make it clear to the other Digimon that now wasn't the best time to try and claim what she was actually here for, whatever that was. But it was also a way for him to show her the true side of himself, the Abel behind the sugary smiles and cuddly exterior: he didn't care about the politicking and the squabbles between the factions, nor the subterfuge and the secrecy, not one iota.
All that mattered to him, was Yūjin's comfort and happiness.
THen, he snaps himself out of his reverie and grins with about as much attitude as a kid that knows it's about to do something utterly thoughtless in the future, "Plus, it might not look it now, but if I Digivolve, I can fly around the city and sniff you out! Then, I can let Yūjin go to work and stuff!" It was Abel's sly way of throwing her a hint at Yūjin's hidden capabilities, absent as they may have seemed in the current set of circumstances. Plus, he had a life to live in addition to his occasional acts of do-gooder charity and kindness. It was the least this little marshmallow could do to make it up to his Tamer after exposing him to such an unnecessary amount of stress today.
For now, all focus had to be spent on making sure he could level out just enough to make his way back home. He had a secret weapon at his disposal, one he refused to reveal to the graceful BlackSalamon just yet, that could be used to return him back to his senses in a heartbeat. In due time, of course...
In due time.

Indifferent towards the disguised Rookie's simple-minded opinion of her, she was still surprised to witness the modicum of civility he displayed by simply leaving the boy in peace. Noticing his indecorous grimace that was directed at her, Ikou, as usual, preferred to patronize her adversary by playing along with his silly shtick. Granting the agent no quarter in her own way, the dark kitten bowed to him genuinely. "Nice to meet you too, T. And I'm sure we are both looking forward to a future conversation." She responded, actually intrigued to increase her knowledge of Hypnos' attributes. Certainly she'd learn plenty from the 'businessman'.
However, that was not an event that would occur tonight. Ultimately, only she, the young lad and his partner remained. Unfortunately, it was obvious that her presence was as detrimental to Yūjin's mental well-being as that of the ditsy missionary. Regardless, the BlackSalamon sought to depart with a gleam of joy and understanding instead of discontent and tsuris. "No reason to apologize, dear. I bid you a good night." She spoke calmly, nodding several times as a signal of willful compliance. Perish the thought someone took another person's suffering as a personal insult. An iniquity that would be!
Turning her attention to the likable Abel, a faint smile formed itself on her muzzle as she beheld the kindness this little ball of affection and glee expressed. Most younglings were mellow somehow, though he carried within his core two special kinds of affability - empathy and abandonment. Hopefully, the dangers and temptations ahead would not leave him bereft of these rare virtues. "I'll be here for the duration of the convention, watching and learning. For now... just take care of your friend." She assured the responsible In-Training that the good health of the youthful man was far more important than a pleasant get-together.
Unlike what her new acquaintances might have believed, Ikou was not present to claim anything from anyone. She merely fulfilled her fine duty as a guardian of temporary unity. It was the way the Royals intended it, hence she gladly complied to express her gratitude for their generosity. In fact, she and Sir Inazuma's affiliate were unknowingly of similar mindsets. Acknowledging Abel's ability to digivolve with a single nod, the BlackSalamon bowed to the duo before she quietly returned to the shadows, eager to proceed with her task and evaluate her bizarre encounter.
.o('They did not even ask for my name. Huh...')o. It was... an interesting slice Earth had thrown at her. Were there more to come or was this evening an exception? Curious...
