A district famous for being the geographical residence of the Sensō-ji, Tokyo's oldest temple, which is also the site of many different festivals that occur throughout the year, some of which even happen on a seasonal basis. Its old-fashioned atmosphere can still be felt today.

Part of the historical portion of Tokyo's original city core, this district is one of the few to retain this distinctive old-fashioned atmosphere since the wards were consolidated. Apart from a small handful of private stores, it is home to a large cemetery and the unique Daimyo Clock Museum.
