Koneko - Salamon

“My Koneko!”[break][break]


As Usagi’s literal meaning of the name, “My Kitten.” Koneko is a Digimon who does not quite act like a pet as the nickname implies, not to mention even a partner. A scheming little cat, Koneko originally approached the violet-haired child as a sly Bastemon. Her talk and speech is usually slow and calm, almost as if in a constant state of machinating. Her tone is usually regal and haughty as if she is superior. For her partner, it is usually more affectionate and enthused. It is obvious that she is manipulative by the way she chooses to talk in a cryptic manner instead of outright being cooperative. She refuses to give things up valuable to her as she lays both knowledge, associations, and partnerships as property claim.[break][break]

She is not without flaws! Like her partner, she shows herself to be quite vulnerable when people seem to show some understanding to her. Playing dull or cryptic only lasts for so long with individuals who have true insight. Because of this, she shows a great disdain for being looked down upon. Usually, this incites anger as she loses her focus and cool, exposing her vulnerable self. Her most prominent feature is how she remains quiet and reserved. Assertive to a pont, she can show a large interest in things and chase them even when there is a large amount of danger. She can be said to be a treasure hunter at best due to this instinct of chasing things of value; forever expanding her claims![break][break]

Koneko can be quite the tactician, matching Hikari’s cunning! She boasts in reconnaissance due to her speed, cleverness, and wit. Her quiet nature brings her to watch and observe the surroundings from afar. This is even shows how she covets Hikari, watching him as he walks into places and surveying the surroundings for danger if one were to be a threat to him: one of her treasures. She does these mannerisms with a face of intrigue and confidence as she feels most comfortable lurking to no one’s knowledge. Likely this is due to her retaining her preference to be in control of a situation and all things relative to it.[break][break]

Koneko’s lack of control in any given moment is due to her hardships in the Digital World. A Digimon that was affected by Virus’s influence, she was prepared for anything but the overwhelming presence of another being. Koneko does not like being helpless. She refuses to be helpless like this ever again! To that degree, Koneko strives to grow to be something absolute! Thus, she seeks the perfect evolution and to dominate anything that would be a threat to her. Even if she does have a lust for power, her desire to manipulate and control her life, she finds it difficult to ignore that there is a fondness for how Hikari lives his life. [break][break]

How this affects her...even this is a piece of knowledge beyond her comprehension for the moment.[break][break]
