While capable of sustaining himself as a Rookie, Abel prefers the use of his Tokomon form, not only because it's easier to keep a low profile by pretending to be a stuffed pillow, but also because it has a set of pretty gnarly-looking teeth to scare off any bad guys.[break][break]
A perpetually cheerful Digimon who can always think of a reason to keep smiling, Abel is the perfect foil to his stoic human counterpart, Yūjin. Ever since the day he hatched, this fluffy little marshmallow has made it his mission to provide his Tamer with the guidance and motivation he needs to continue fighting for their shared wish of a better, brighter, happier world.[break][break]
Alas, Abel is not without his faults, which become more prominent upon assuming his Patamon form. Because of his cute appearance and generally cheerful personality, he has learned to take advantage of this natural charm so that he might receive the one thing he loves almost as much as his best friend: vigorous belly rubs. This tactic works more frequently than Yūjin is emotionally comfortable with, leading Abel to turn it into something of a "last resort" when all other options have failed.[break][break]
With that being said, Abel passionately shares in his companion's preference towards nonviolence and will always attempt to resolve a dispute through civil discourse before he would ever think about trading blows. So resounding is his pacifism that Abel deeply fears he will one day be unable to restrain himself and end up causing more harm than any bad guy could ever possibly inflict.
