Painting themselves as something like "the prophets of a new age in human evolution", the Winged Heralds have carefully spent their time and resources cultivating a public image as revolutionary free-thinkers that seek to bring about a better future for the world by striving for apotheosis through the corrosive influence of the Virus that once threatened to eradicate humanity.
On certain weeknights after sermons have been conducted, fledgling Heralds are given an opportunity to cleanse themselves of any reservations or hesitations they have about committing to the cause; but be warned, each experience is a very trying one that is meant to awaken a deeper understanding of one's self and their role among their peers, whatever the means to that awareness may be.
